We’re recruiting an Assistant Performance Coach at Bedford Hockey Club to support the Head of Ladies Performance with the successful development, delivery and management of the Bedford Hockey Club’s Ladies Performance Programme and to lead on matchdays with the Bedford HC’s Ladies 2nd Team.

BHC Ladies 2nd team have high ambitions to secure promotion to the East Prem this season, after finishing as runners up last year. The squad has a great balance of youth and experience, with many talented players as well as a great desire to improve as a team and establish themselves as one of the top second teams in the country.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work within the most successful clubs in the area; with seven men’s and ladies league teams as well as a thriving junior and master’s teams.

Skills and Qualifications

• Level 2 coaching qualification (or seeking to work towards – club support available)
• Reliable and committed to matches, training and the BHC ethos.
• Ambitious with the ability to enthuse and motivate teams.
• Ability to give effective and constructive player.
• Proven history in coaching performance teams.
• Good communication skills with both players and other club personnel
• Good leadership and organisational skills
