It was a tough 2 days in Norwich for the lads, with a team dropping out weeks before the tournament started. The format had to change from pool and knock outs to a 7 team round robin league, which Bedford topped in commanding fashion, wining 6 from 6 games.

This was Bedfords first run out as an indoor side and captain Alex Drummond lead from the front, scoring 8 goals over the weekend. Dan Mason was a tireless force in midfield and taking home the golden stick for the team with a top scoring 11 goals, but a special mention needs to be made for the Bedford player of the tournament Simon Dolan who was a cat between the sticks conceding less goals then any keeper at the tournament and ensuring Bedford promotion into the East Prem next season.

After winning the club's first indoor honours, Alex Drummond added:
"I am ecstatic with the level of success we have achieved in the first year of indoor hockey that Bedford HC has ever played. Winning the league and gaining promotion was fantastic but the way the team conducted themselves and went undefeated throughout was a joy to behold. We had three under 18s in our squad and each proved invaluable to the victory, all getting their names on the score sheets and raising their profiles massively around the club."
